A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before we
switch on.

When should I book holiday light installation?

As early as you can. Requests that come in during October or early November have the widest choice of installation dates, including before Thanksgiving (November 26 this year). Later requests are welcome too, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s still open.

How much does Christmas light installation cost?

Every home is different, so we quote each one individually. The main factors are the length of your roofline, the height of the house (one or two stories and the roof pitch), how many palms and trees you’d like lit, and the style and level of detail. Your written quote shows the price before anything goes up.

Do you provide the lights, or do I use my own?

Your quote spells it out: which lights and materials are included and what happens to them after the season. If you already own lights, note that in your request and your quote will address it.

Will installation damage my roof or tile?

Protecting your home comes first. Our approach is to use clips made for holiday lighting and matched to your roof, including clay and concrete tile, rather than nails, staples or screws. We move carefully on the roof, and if anything about it concerns us, we’ll say so before we start.

Can you work within my HOA’s guidelines?

Yes. Many communities here are governed by HOAs, and some have guidelines on holiday decorations, such as when they can go up and come down. Share your guidelines with your quote request and we’ll design within them. If your association needs to approve the plan, we can describe the design so you can submit it.

Can the lights run on a timer?

Timers can usually be included, depending on your outdoor outlets, so the lights come on in the evening without you thinking about it. Tell us the schedule you’d like and your quote will note what’s included.

Do you take the lights down after the holidays?

Takedown is available on request, confirmed in your quote. The same goes for storage and for service calls during the season. Just mention what you’d like in your request.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve 16 cities and communities in South Orange County: Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Coto de Caza, Dana Point, Irvine, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. If you’re nearby but not on the list, ask anyway and we’ll let you know honestly whether we can help.

See the service area

Should I send photos of my house?

Photos are optional, but they help us plan a more accurate quote. A few daytime shots of the front of the house, the roofline and any palms or trees you’d like lit are perfect.

How we handle photos

What happens after I request a quote?

You’ll see a confirmation with a reference number. We review your details and photos, then contact you by email, phone or text, whichever you prefer, to confirm anything we need and send your written quote.
